Marney Sobel

Marney Sobel, founder of MARNEY'S, is not only the driving force behind our educational home-away-from-home, but also an English and French teacher.

With over twenty years of educational experience, and a graduate of McGill University, Marney brings a wealth of expertise to her personalized tutoring sessions, instilling confidence and inspiring a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.

Penny Milne

Miss Penny, our early childhood specialist from Australia, focuses on pre-K, TK, and kindergarten. With over twenty-five years of teaching experience, her vibrant energy and international experience create a nurturing environment where young children thrive.

Leading MARNEY'S Garden and other small kids groups, she sparks curiosity and fosters a love for learning in our youngest learners.

With her playful approach and genuine passion for early childhood education, Penny is adored by both children and parents alike.

Renie Simone (Ray)

Raised in England and educated in Silicon Valley, Renie is back in her LA hometown to bring a unique blend of tech skills and educational expertise to our team as a Tutor and Business Coordinator. With a degree in English & Creative Writing, she finds irony in preferring to tutor math and science.

Renie also ensures smooth operations behind the scenes, managing day-to-day business operations by creating and manning this website.

Diana Vera

Born and raised in Los Angeles by two Mexican immigrant parents, Diana is a perfect example of how, with perseverance, family support, and determination, anything is possible. Diana holds a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish, as well as a Master's and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. With her extensive educational background, Diana recognizes the importance of teaching and shaping the future generation, which led her to join MARNEY'S.

Mrs. Diana Vera is a professor at Mount St. Mary's University, where she teaches Statistics and Psychology courses. As a mathematics instructor, she endeavors to make complex concepts understandable for all students and integrates real-world applications into her teaching. Diana is passionate about contributing to children's education.

Our team embodies rich international backgrounds, bringing a wealth of diverse perspectives to our warm and welcoming environment. With roots spanning from Montreal, Canada, to Australia and Britain, our educators share a common passion for nurturing children's growth and learning.
